Tonight, we celebrated lots of good things:
- Mimi is finally through with all of the testing and DOES NOT have any cancer. Acutally, we believe she was healed by God, as the mass they were scheduled to biopsy was no longer present when the doctors went for the needle biopsy.
- Mimi is home from the hospital on oxygen, but temporarily.
- Our friends, Thomas and Heather, both got good reports from their recent doctors' visits, which we had been praying about
- Thomas was able to save all the pics that L deleted or something from our computer.
- My wonderful, sweet father-in-law turned 56 today.
Our celebration consisted of having Nana and GrandTam (special take on the nickname his mom had for his dad) over for a wonderful steak dinner with strawberry shortcake for dessert. The kiddos loved playing "Trouble" after supper, even though they are both coughing and feeling slightly under the weather.
- C and I ran a million and 2 errands while L was a school today. All the while, I'm trying to encourage her not to potty in her Dora (pull-up). I don't like those pull-ups as a rule, but someone gave me 2 packs...and who am I to turn away FREE diapers?? So, we'll be finishing the pack, then hitting real undies again hard and heavy...I want to get this potty training thing knocked out. But, I digress. Anyway, in the middle of Wal-Mart, C decides she cannot ride in the buggy one more second, lest she have a screaming fit. So, out she begins to climb...our compromise was to let her push the cart. That actually consists of me pushing the cart while making sure she thinks she's doing it by herself, and then chasing her back to the cart when she lets go and runs. It sounds as if she's in control of the situation, but really, I'm sure it could fall into some category of letting her be in charge of something or whatever. I didn't care which child development theory I was following, I just wanted OUT of Wal-Mart!!!
- One of the cutest things L says is, "Mommy, can you do me a flavor, please?" I love hearing him ask for a favor. It's precious.
- C broke a snow globe, bracelet, cup, and managed to pour water all over herself during what was supposed to be naptime. I needed a nap today. After breaking the snowglobe (which was a nativity scene that my mom, Tee, gave C for her first Christmas), C kept telling everyone, "I broke Baby Jesus" which got more than one funny look.
- One of Daddy's fave things that C says is, "Look at my muscles, look at my muscles!" while holding her fists up. It's the intonation that's so adorable. Muscles sounds like Muh-chools.
- L managed to delete every digital picture that I had saved on our computer of his sister. Don't know how only her folder and our family picture folders were affected, but luckily, our tech wiz friend saved them so I didn't have to spend a million dollars on an archive cd from shutterfly.
- I'm exhausted by the re-cap...and I'm dreading taking the babes to the doc tomorrow...better do it before the weekend rush, though!
