Another long time has passed

Wow! A lot of time has passed again! Let's see...L and C are both, you guessed it, sick! L just has a stuffy nose...pollen. C has been throwing up again to go along with her runny, yucky nose. Lovely! We'll be going to the doctor tomorrow rather than the second session of my new Beth Moore Bible study at church.

  • C's b'day party went so well. The cake was adorable! My dear friend made it, and man, it was delicious as usual! (In fact, my kids have never had a cake made by anyone but my buddy. She should seriously go into business) L was the most gracious almost 4-year-old big brother I have ever seen. He was so into her getting presents and all the attention being on her. I was truly amazed. That boy is awesome! C thoroughly enjoyed every minute of her day(s). In fact, she told me last night, "Mommy, I really like my burfday." I said, "Oh, I know, I had fun at your birthday, too." She replied, "No, Mommy, I really like my burfday right now."
  • She tried to use the bathroom in the yard like L today...Maw looked at her just after she pulled her diaper 1/2 way off and was trying to do her thing...unfortunatly it's just not as easy for girls--a fact that really aggravated her!
  • L is so extremely excited about T-ball, but that sweet spirit of his is causing him to not want to "beat" his buddy Harrison's team. Lucky for both boys, this is totally instructional...no scores, no winners, no losers!
  • C told me that she was "stick" tonight b/c she had a "ladybug" in her tummy (just after a projectile vomiting episode). Roto virus? Strep? What is this stuff?!?
  • I felt like a horrible mommy all weekend...all over the kids with no patience whatsoever. I really am praying for patience and a realization that my goals aren't exactly what God has in mind for me right now. God wants them to be my priority, not my crazy to-do list.
  • Picnic in the park on Monday and then dinner on our back deck last night made all of us feel better...until poor C had an upset tummy! Oh, boy! I sure am hoping that our wonderful docs can figure this out tomorrow.
